Quidditch
If you are going to have a Harry Potter convention that highlights as many aspects of fandom as possible, you simply can't leave out Quidditch.
And no organization has done more for this incredible, magical sport than the International Quidditch Association (IQA) . We are thrilled to have them on board to host the Quidditch activities at Aeternitas. We have worked with their staff to not only provide a pitch and equipment but also to provide a comprehensive introduction to the sport for Wizards and Witches who have yet to experience it.
Kristina Moy of the IQA will be teaching an introductory course: "How to Create and Manage Your Own Quidditch Team" which will show how you too can bring Quidditch to your high school, college or community.
This will be followed by a practical course in Quidditch broom handling and IQA rules. With the instructions taking place right on the pitch!
During most of the con Friday and Saturday, volunteers will be available to assist in forming Quidditch pick up games.
Aeternitas Wants Your Quidditch Team!
After all these lessons, Aeternitas and the IQA want to show our guests how it is done! We need two or more IQA Quidditch teams to attend Aeternitas and contact us with interest in playing in our exhibition matches!
Participating teams will get an advertisement in the convention program, their own merch table and get to show their stuff in front of hundreds of con guests!
