The Margate on Winnipesaukee
The Margate Resort is a privately owned, independent hotel located at 76 Lake Street in Laconia, NH 03246. Situated right on Lake Winnipesaukee, the grounds and views are beautiful and the hotel offers a uniquely wonderful host site for a weekend of fandom fun.
Staying in the host hotel is mandatory for anyone attending the conference. If at anytime during the conference it is discovered that an attendee is staying off site, the attendee in question will be removed from the conference without refund. This is because The Margate Resort has done something unique for us- they have blocked the entire hotel just for us! We are hoping to have the whole resort to ourselves- a muggle free weekend. To ensure that this is possible, we need all attendees to stay on site. Please respect this rule.
Per hotel policy, someone 21 years of age or more must be staying in each room. If you are under 21 and would like to attend, please feel free to look for roommates in our forums
Please see the chart below for room rates. To make room reservations, please call 1-800-MARGATE (1-800-627-4283). The hotel requires a deposit of one night's stay in order to make a reservation.

Getting to the Margate Resort
Driving From Boston: Take I-93 North to Exit 20 Turn left on Route 3 North. Proceed 7 miles to Belknap Mall. Turn right onto Route 3 & 11 North. Follow Route 3, a.k.a. The Laconia By-Pass, to the END. Bear right at the end. At the third set of traffic lights bear right onto Route 3 North. The Margate will be just ahead on your left.
Driving From Providence: Take I-95 North to Route 128 North Follow Route 128 North to I-93 North Follow I-93 North to Exit 20 Turn left on Route 3 North. Proceed 7 miles to Belknap Mall. From New York: Take I-95 North to New Haven Connecticut Then I-91 North to Hartford Connecticut Then I-84 East to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) Exit the Turnpike at I-495 North to I-93 North. Take I-93 North to Exit 20. Turn left on Route 3 North. Proceed 7 miles to Belknap Mall. Turn right onto Route 3 & 11 North. Follow Route 3, a.k.a. The Laconia By-Pass, to the END. Bear right at the end. At the third set of traffic lights bear right onto Route 3 North. The Margate will be just ahead on your left.
Airport Shuttle
Registration for the airport shuttle has closed. If you have missed the window and need transportation, please email amanda@aeternitas2011.org with your arrival and departure times, and we will see if we can fit you into one of our scheduled runs.
